Welcome on the French Blawg, the only legal blog focusing on French law and on the French legal system...in the English language.

This blog is written by the lawyers working at Cardinal, a multidisciplinary law firm, advising in all major fields of business, labor and civil law. Cardinal was founded in 2010 by Xavier Chabeuf and Manuel Dambrin.

If you are an English-speaking foreigner living in France, a law student studying French law, a company looking for legal advice involving French law, or if you are simply curious, this is a place for you!

As for the Cardinal law firm, this website will deal with any issues of interest regarding French private law, and especially litigation in France.

Some posts should be designed for a large audience, but others might be more specialized.
